Film submissions for the 41st edition of the Jean Rouch International Film Festival are now open! The deadline is November, 15th 2021.
The festival will be held from May 5-12, 2022, at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac (Paris), which is becoming the new venue and partner of the festival.
Submissions are to be made via FilmFreeway platform. Complete regulations and eligibility requirements are available on the platform.
• The JRIFF’s programming is focused on films that examine issues in the social sciences and humanities, through both their purpose and approach. All formats and/or topics are welcome.
• The official selection consists of three sections: International Competition, A Focus on the Living World, Shared Experiences.
• Works must have been produced after September 1st, 2020.
• Works must be submitted with either French or English subtitling (if the original language is not French).

We are very proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary with a number of non-competitive events: retrospectives, tributes, a new strand about sound creation, and the “Regards Comparés” programme dedicated to the Niger River.
