The Anthropological Film Festival IUAES Congress St. Petersburg Russia, scheduled for May 25-31, 2022, is now accepting submissions. The next year’s festival topic is “World on the Move: Migration and Communication”.
The festival seeks to present and discuss contemporary approaches to
anthropological film-making, including community, collaborative, observational,
narrative, ethno-fictional, experimental, and other methods. We welcome films of
different genres created by anthropologists and documentalists or indigenous
communities and organizations. The festival will provide an opportunity for filmmakers
and researchers to engage in dialogue about the power of cinematic language to
express the complexity and diversity of cultural values worldwide.
The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2021.
