| Update from the ethnocineca website: From May 6th to May 13th 2021 we invite you to the 15th ethnocineca – International Documentary Film Festival Vienna Online Edition. Due to the recently tightened COVID-19 containment measures, we have to move the documentary film festival into the virtual space once again. Even though it is with a heavy heart that we have to leave the cinema halls for another festival, we are happy to present 25 documentary feature films and short docs online. The programme is a selection from the initial 52 outstanding documentaries that we had chosen for the cinema programme of the 15th festival edition. All details about the online edition as well as the originally planned programme will soon be available on our website. The ethnocineca Online-Edition kicks off on May 6thwith a festive opening night featuring the opening film THRESHOLD by Brazilian filmmaker Coraci Ruiz and a keynote lecture by Christos Varvantakis. |
