Online submissions for the festival Days of Ethnographic Film (DEF) 2025 are now open.
The event will take place at the end of FEBRUARY 2025 at the Slovenian Cinematheque in Ljubljana.
Submissions are open until OCTOBER 1, 2024.

DEF is a joint project of Slovene Ethnological Society, the Institute of Slovenian Ethnology ZRC SAZU and the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, University of Ljubljana. The festival is dedicated to ethnographic films made by anthropologists and ethnologists, but also by documentary filmmakers.
The festival does not have a competitive character; there is a section with student films and a section with other films. The selectors choose around 15-30 films for the regular program.
