It is with great pleasure that conveners Richard Fraser, Christian Vium and Peter I Crawford invite you to submit a paper to the upcoming RAI 2023 Film Festival Conference. The conference will be held 6-10 March 2023 online. The theme for the Conference is “Visual Anthropology and Speculative Futures” and the panel is titled Visualising the Future: Photography, Digital Sharing, and Alternate Imaginaries.
This panel explores the role of photography for understanding alternate futures. It considers the use of historical and contemporary photographs and new forms of digital sharing by actors in diverse ethnographic contexts and their collaborations with anthropologists, museums, and institutions. You can read the extended abstract, including possible sub-themes, on the conference website.
For this stage, the conveners only require you to submit abstracts and titles.
